I agree with the both of you. I thought the new Saturn front end looked similar to a Legacy, but it shows all the ways Subaru could have really screwed up with the Legacy's styling. Glad Saturn did it and not Subaru!

you guys got that right... that car is fugly

the body is very gen1 legacy, however i think those headlights borrow from the ford contour more than anything... circa 1998

can anyone else see that?

It was the quasi-slanty headlights going into the honeycomb grill that got me looking. then I saw a few other ques. but I definitely see the contour. oh well.

I don't want this to flare up, but I hafta agree with Ciper on this one. What's wrong with the honeycomb grill? If I found a honeycomb grill in as good of shape as mine, I'd probably put it on...

now now... everyone doesn't have to like honeycomb grills. but crappy is such a "hurtful' word. maybe we should all use the thesaurus a little more often.

ok, enough Mr. Rogers... At first glance it does look like someone put some weird front clip onto a Legacy Wagon. along with some umm... "sweet"? wheel covers. i detest (<-- thesaurus) wheel covers!

I bet you prefer the tail lighs of the 92-94 as well?

edit Image

From what I know the honeycomb design on other vehicles was to increase air flow, who knows subaru's motivation

I do, I liked my tail lights on my 93 because i could take out the orange cover for the turn signal essentialy making them red and clear with hyper white bulbs it looked sweat but the tail lights on the 91 have really grown on me I dont know why it must be the immitation carbon fibre outline border deal oh yeah what the hell is saturn thinking ugly

The honeycomb grills would be excellent grills to mod. Cut the honeycomb out....keep the emblem in the middle....have everything painted to match the car......you got one sweet grill.
