Question for 90-91 owners that have 92-94 struts

Post by Legacy777 »

Those of you that have the 90-91 MY's, and are running the 92-94 AGX struts, or even GR2's for that matter. Do any of you happen to have measurements of your car height before and after the strut swap?

thanks
Josh

Sorry Josh, I do have the GR2s for a 92-94 but I don't have any measurements. Like I said in your first post, I don't have any problems and I love the look because it's slightly lowered.

Can you take some measurements for me? From the center of the axle to the edge of the fender lip. Like they specify in these diags

http://www.main.experiencetherave.com:8 ... 2-1993.jpg
http://www.main.experiencetherave.com:8 ... s_1994.jpg

How do your measurements compare to the 1990, 92-93, & 94 info?

What do you mean by it's "slightly lowered" Like it lowered the front, or the rear, or both?

What about the rake of the car....does the front appear to sit lower, even though the wheel gap in the front will probably be greater.

Is yours AWD? sedan or wagon?

The AGX's will probably give the same ride height as the GR2's for the same MY application.

I will probably just end up getting the 92-94 AGX's and stick them in, and see how they changed things. However I just don't want them to change things to look funky/stupid.

Thanks a bunch!
Josh

Sorry it took so long to answer but I just finished a 13 hour shift. Nope, no overtime pay either...military. Anyway, the car sits perfect by my standards. It lowered the front by an 1 1/2" and the back 1" but it's not slammed. I'll take pictures when I get a chance and will try to get the measurements. The car's rake is just as you described it. It looks lower in the front than the back but the wheel gap in the front is greater. Keep in mind I have H&R springs. The car is an AWD sedan. Actually, I think I have a few pics I can send but it's kinda dark. You can still see the fender gap though.

Ok.....so you do have lowering springs. I sort of thought you had stock springs. I won't really be able to compare things since you have aftermarket springs.

ehhh.....I'll probably just order the damn agx's and see how the car sit's.....

I probably should have stated that I had lowering springs before. I would just get the AGX's if I were you. I don't see why it would throw anything off.
