My favorite driving shoes have to be my 3 year old adidas with nearly as many miles on them as my car. They look like hell but are SO comfortable and have just the amount of support that I like.

Yea, Laurel, an old worn set of shoes is usually really good for most people for driving.

I don't have any really old shoes that are that flexy though, so I need something that'll wrap around the pedal and give a consistant feel.

Old skate shoes work well. That is if you actually skate in 'em :D If you don't, the soles don't get thin enough to get any real pedal feel.

It's funny how threads die. They start out on-topic then they pass into shadows of the original topic and finally just peter out into nothing. Not that it's a bad thing - just a natural progression almost every time. I've seen some last a long time though.

Oh yea, I was supposed to comment on how good Matt's heel-toe skillzzzzz are. Mad tyte yo.

Seriously, that was insane.

I was heel-toeing in my truck today as best as I could. The pedals are just to far apart, height wise. But the Suby is back on the road now, so now it's time to practice!

Matt - What'd you think of my lady friend? Call me when you get off work on Wednesday and you can see the car. Otherwise you'll have to wait to see the pictures and wait until the meet. I'll probably just call you at like noon or 1 and see if you can take a minute to check it out. Roman and I won't be to far from Rockville at that time, so I could swing by the site.

Hehehe, ya. That wasn't even with my good driving shoes either. I had my big clumper work shoes on. ;)

Old skate shoes rule! My favorite driving shoes are my Etnies from like 93. I think they're called Etnies Raps. Their the old style with the non-slip grip soles and just 1 layer of leather with no padding. Kinda like old Vans lowtops. I love 'em.

She goes to JMU, only about 2 hours away. We plan on working it out. She's real good to me ;)

I've got the heel-toe action going pretty well, now I just need to wear my old New Balances for some pedal wrap action!
