Post by Legacytuner »

I'm interested in this rs arm because it has an OE wiper spoiler that has good looks and function. my wipers wont stay to the glass at high speeds does anyone know if it will fit? :?

I had good luck with it, but I'd only consider putting it on glass that doesn't have a wiper. The wiper can streak the hell out of it.

Rain-X wiper fluid (or any of the generic-brand versions of it) is a decent alternative to the regular Rain-X wipe-on-buff-off stuff. It doesn't seem to be the same stuff at all; it wears away more evenly and easily, and is easy to reapply (just use your windshield washers again).

I've never had a problem with Rain-X. I put it on maybe three times a year. I have been through three or four windshields due to SUV-thrown rocks, though , so if it takes a while for it to cause a problem I wouldn't get to see it.

I also have no trouble at all with Rain-X. I put it on all of my windows including my moonroof and you can't even tell its there.... until it starts to rain of course, then it works like a dream! I can run my wipers all day and have no problems. Is there something you are doing wrong in the application?

About that Rain-X washer fluid... It stained my washer tank orange and would leave orange crap all over my windshield.... Maybe they have reformulated it since then though....

It does stain the washer tank orange. I suppose if you spray it on the windshield and don't use the wipers it might leave orange residue on the windshield; I don't know.

The generic-brand version that they sell at Target seems to do this less.

Nope, I followed directions to the tee. I was just disappointed with it. I've found that if you keep your wiperblades clean and replace them every 18 months or so it works even better than RainX.

Are you serious? They actually sell something like that? Is that even legal?

I went with a screw on spoiler as well, but mine is black without the LEDs. I actually found that the cheap wiper blades worked the best as far as staying down, compared to ones that are designed to stay down. I've been thinking about pulling the spoiler off to see how they perform, as it does look out of place.

very doubtful. I dunno what the law is in minnesota, but you can't have any lights on the front of your car that are blue here

I'm pretty sure their not legal when driving, but if my car is parked with alarm armed it should be legal, think of it as theft deterrance

any amount of lights on the vehicle are "legal" so long as the vehicle isnt moving, and the lights arent imitating a police car, i believe. I've seen many hondas and such with stripes that run across the rear view mirror of leds that do the same while armed.

It depends on the state. In MA it's illegal for anything blue or red on the front of the car and there's a restriction on the mounting and number of extra lights. Nobody enforces them.
