I just had my entire front bumper off last week. I'm not sure if it is differant on your legacy but one I got off my grill, both headlights and blinkers you could see eight black plastic pressure screws along the front top(not sure what they are actually called:). I popped those off with a standard screwdriver and some needle nose pliers. There where some more pressure screws along the bottom (six I think). I popped those off also. Then in the wheel well the bumper cover connected to the fender. If you take you mud guard things off you can get that disconnected.

After the cover is off you can remove the styrafoand and then there where four 10mm or 12mm bolts on the front of the actual bumper. I removed those and it was off.

Don't know if this will help you at all. Hope it does. If you break those black pressure screws they are only .70 cents. I know:) I ordered some in anticipation of breaking them.

i only know about wagon rears, but you pull up the thing in the trunk that pops up to reveal your goody tray, there should be 2 or 4 bumper beam bolts, undo those, and the entire bumper assembly will slide out, then you can access the 6 or so flat screw/bolts along the bumper. but that's a wagon

I'll take a look at it soon anyway, I have to fix the rear quarter rust and won't be able to do a good job w/o the bumper removed.

IIRC up around the strut and towards the
rear...and maybe up underneath in the front...
It's been a long time since my snorkusectomy... so I"m stabbing away here.

taking the mudflap off will help get that slashguard off too.
