Recirculate stock BOV?

That spinning thing that makes all of the cool noises. OE and Aftermarket.

Recirculate stock BOV?

Post by legacy13 »

Is it at all possible to recirculate the stock denso blow off valve on a 92 legacy sedan? and if so, how do i do it? i want it to be loud, but i also want the car to run right. any help would be much appreciated.

In its stock form the BOV recirculates. Have you modified it?

I capped the intake part, and just left the BOV. It's loud as hell, but i want to know if there's a way i can keep it loud, but recirculate it at the same time. I've seen this done with DSM's, but i want to know if i can do it with the EJ22T.

If it's loud, it vents to the atmosphere.

buy an aftermarket bov and run it atmospheric. or, put everything back the way it was. those are your only two options to make it run alright, unless you can figure out how to modify the stock bov so it doesn't intake air at idle.

You mean like this?

BTW, AutoSpeed is an AWESOME site. They have tons of DIY projects and while most of the best tech articles require subscription it is definitely worth it! (Fortunately, the above article is free, though.) FYI: The best deal by far is buying the "5-year archive" option.
