91 air suspension ?

Post by 91 legacy »

I got a 91 wagon with the infamous air suspension. I have decided to do the gas strut/coil spring thing. I am trying to put together a list of all needed parts to do it. So far i have
-gr2 struts
-top mounts
-springs
-bumpstops
-dust covers for struts
-spring noise dampener
-plugs for the air line holes
I think thats everything but is there anyhting else I am missing? And finally all the little rubber stuff like bumpstops can i get from the dealer? O and do I need some type of spring keepers for the top of the springs as well as the top hats? All help much appreciated. Thanks.

The air line holes are in the strut mount on the air shocks, so when you remove the air shock, you remove them too.

Your list covers everything I can think of, but it would be a good idea to remove the air ride compressor and air tank and all the lines (compressor and tank are in driver's front fender), then remove the computer that controls it (I think it's under the dash but not 100% sure about that), and I think that will also kill the light on the dash.
