Single stage booster vacuum hose

Post by Legacy777 »

So from playing around with things last night, it looks like I'll need a different vacuum hose.

Anyone beside vrg3 do this mod.....did you just splice on some hose, or did you find the proper hose somewhere?

My stock hose fit fine... Yours won't?

If you have to, you can splice in some 3/8" hose (the stock hose is actually 11/32", but 3/8" is pretty close).

Or if you can use non-molded hose without kinking it or having it rub anything else, you could cut the check valve out of your stock hose and stick it into the new hose.

Mine isn't long enough, nor is the booster inlet at the same angle as my old booster. Mine was at an angle. The single stage booster is straight in.

Yeah, the angle slightly different on mine too (I think the stock booster had a 45-ish-degree bend in the nipple and the single stage one had no such bend), but the hose fit anyway.

Out of curiosity, have you tried comparing your car's stock hose with the stock hose on the wagon?

No haven't done that yet.....was going to probably use the wagon's hose if I had to cut anything up.

It's buried somewhere in the back of the wagon....hahaha
