MBC acting strange?

I bought a turbo XS high performance MBC never used for cheap from someone and installed it on my car. I used the line from the turbo(not the manifold) and i am almost certain it is set up correctly. I can not get the boost to go below 10 psi. The boost ranges between 10 and 17 psi. I don't have the intercooler on yet or a FCD so this is way too much. Any suggestions? Would being at altitude have an effect like this?

being at altitude would have some effect, i dont think it would have that much but who knows, I did notice that my car runs at about 10-11psi and i havent touched the boost or installed my manual boost controller. According to flat4engineering, manual boost controllers aren't recommended here because of the barometer and altitude. Boost your running one day can change the next I guess. hope that helps

My mbc was doing the same thing, check to see if the ball inside moves freely, the ball may be sticking due to oil or grease from the factory, try spraying some degreaser inside. that fixed mine

I went back to stock for high school drags just so it will be consistent. thanks for the advice. I will mess with it again when i get the intercooler and FCD.
