Check engine light bulb replacement number, or something.
Does anyone know the part number/name/size or whatever for the check engine light bulb? I had mine out to try and get it pass SMOG, but now i need it in to find out whats making my car misfire. Any help would be appreciated

If you can't find the bulb but just need to read the codes, you can just use your trusty test light. Hook the clip to a +12v source and put the probe at the ECU's "MIL" pin:

You can use any ol' 12-volt small light bulb, in fact.
So your car passed emissions without the CEL bulb in? Didn't they check to make sure the light turned on when the ignition was first turned on?
