Just want to say hi
Well hello there, I just wanted to say hi to everyone here, I've been browsing this forum as a guest for quite a while now and I figured it was probably time to sign up and get involved, and maybe gain a little bit of knowledge from some of the insanely smart people on here.
Anywho, that's it for my first post, take it easy guys!

maroonish red 1991 Legacy L wagon, FWD, N/A EJ22, 4EAT, stock everything except the stereo
I "inherited" it from my dad over the summer so I haven't really had a chance to do any modifications to it, but I absolutely love it anyway. 207,000 miles on the odometer and still running strong. It's only quirks are a busted rear hatch and a slightly slippy tranny, but hey, if that's all I'm happy.
And I really appreciate the invite, but I'm afraid I don't have my license yet
being 16 can be a drag...
Thanks for the warm welcome man, have a good night

Starting out with a great car. My first 'real' car (like, that I could drive legally and stuff) was a 1984 Subaru wagon. Not the fastest car (especially among muscle car friends), but it took a hell of a beating with cheap money and I loved that car. I have been stuck since.

Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.
I also got my first car before getting my driver's license. It was a 1972 BMW 2002tii. Nice but mechanically neglected (nothing worked). Man, I couldn't wait to get it out on the road. That was a while back (1980 to be exact). I drove it for nearly a decade.
I'm pretty much in the same boat as you with the Legacy, I just "inherited" one from a divorced friend. I suggest doing as I am: upgrade the wheels / tires / suspension first (after fixing anything broke). If you can do your own work, replacing any worn bushings / ball joints / rubber mounts along with the suspension work should make a huge difference. the new Legacies are essentially similar and now come with 16 and 17" wheels. There is no reason our cars can't handle as well, maybe better due to being 400 lb. lighter.

That beer you are drinking cost more than my car

whoa LaureltheQueen, I just checked the color code (947), looks like I have Ruby Mica Metallic too!! That's awesome.
My paint job doesn't look as nice as yours though, nowhere near as glossy, my poor baby's taken some abuse over the years...
and sorry I don't have pictures guys, I'm still a film guy, no digital for me, I'll take some pics with my film though, you'll just have to wait until I get it all developed and scanned and whatnot. I'll put them up in the picture gallery though.
Thanks so much for the warm welcome youse guys!
