What a weekend!

I have come to a consensus on something: If you go to a rock concert, you will be parking in a giant mudpit.

Talk about using 4WD!

I have a funny story to go along with it too. Stuck in this mudhole was a new Jetta, and my friend tried to pull him out with his Jeep Cherokee with a lift kit and offroad tires. Unfortunately, his Jeep is 2WD, and he just spun tires. So I come and hook up the Jetta to me and yank him right out! :D

But, get a load of this. I then proceeded to get myself stuck in the same spot. Yes, I admit, I got stuck, maybe because my car was sitting in mud 3/4 of the way up my wheels! So the nice tow truck man pulled me out, for free might I add :o .

My friend in the Jeep managed to keep himself from getting stuck. So we called it even, since I pulled the Jetta out that he couldn't but I got stuck.

What damage did my car suffer? Well, I smelled clutch for a few miles down the road, but that's okay, it's new. Somewhere on a wheel or an axle or something, there is a clump of mud that is making the car vibrate like a you-know-what (  ) above 50 mph. And the cut CV boot that I have had for months (pictured) must have leaked out its last bit of grease and let mud and grass replace it, because now my axle makes wonderful clunking noises in turns, so now it's new axle time!

Oh well, a very fun and educational weekend it was!

Thanks Josh for hosting these pics for me :)

Well, it's possible that the lift kit and tires cost less than 4WD would have cost, and do allow you to get some of the advantages that 4WD would offer... There are two ways to look at it.
