Brake pads, what would you get for your car?

Post by dscoobydoo »

Ok, I am now onto the brake upgrades for the 01 RS and the legacy SS. Have: SS lines, and wrx front upgrade. Now I need good pads for street and some autocross use. I am not going with the change in rotors after all the info I have been reading.

So put in your .02 cents. IF you were going to get them, and money was not a big deal. This would be for both cars, all the way around.
Yes I have too many Subarus
No you can't have one

Bobcats. I'll be running them as soon as I can cover the cost.

Change in front rotors might not be a bad idea if you go with relatively aggressive pads. It might be a good idea to go with a rotor that is better able to vane higher temperatures.

I know of a LOT of local auto-x and road racers who LOVE the RacingBrake slotted street rotors. They are about as expensive as OEM Brembo rotors ($200 for the set). Get them cryo-treated and you'll be gold.

www.racecompengineering.com sells them.
