Rolled my fenders today.
No more rubbing
Just used a good ole baseball bat and rolled the car forward slowly.
Gotta do a few more spots. I only rubbed once around a sharp bumpy turn.
225's have a LOT of grip, by the way. I can't wait to see how they do in the rain.
Fuel pump... Check.
Fenders rolled... Check.
WRX intercooler... next at bat.

Go straight to the STi IC if you haven't already bought the WRX one.

There is a lip on the fender that gets in the way of the tire. When you roll this lip, you just bend it up allowing more tire clearance.
Art - I got the WRX IC for free, so I'll use it for now.

bignose - Here's a page that describes the process of using a "real" fender roller:

yeah, i was wondering about that, since you all have said it could be done with a baseball bat.. but i was wondering why you'd take a bat to your car??
do you just place it in the upper corner and coast the thing, or what? would this produce some sort of mild fender flare? i like that look, alot..

I didn't flare mine, I don't see how you could if you do it right.
I just looked where I was rubbing, and rolled that part.

Eastwood has a neat tool that bolts to the hub and has a delrin roller that does a fantastic job on rolling fenders. Unfortunately, it's like $300.
I just use a Louisville Slugger little league bat, worked great trying to fir 225 RE070s on my 2.5RS.

Yea, my buddy's team has a fender roller. Unfortunately, they charge to roll fenders.
I did mine with a generic Aluminum bat that my neighbor had.
I have yet to rub, and I was doing some VERY spirited driving today.
I was pulling through turns faster than the RE92's could dream of. I think the lack of sidewall helps some, but the Nitto's sheer width and flat profile are GREAT when I hit the turns.
