My new G-ride!

Post by Sir Yach-o »

Hey fellas,

Just bought myself an '81 280zx 2+2 yesterday! She's a rustbucket allright, and the power steering's leaking at the pinion, but hey, what can you expect for $200, right?
Engine's good with 158k, save for a leaky connection to an injector.
Tranny's awesome. (compared to our subie trannys  )
Brakes work.
Tires hold air.
Cosmetically screwed inside and out.

But it's gonna be fun! (and turboed, very, very soon)

later,
-mike

Old RWD cars are fun. We were lucky enough to find our autocross car (84 RX-7 GSL-SE) with low miles (80k) and a decent interior, but we did have to pay 10X what you did for yours. It's like stepping back in time.

Yeah, I don't know how much power I'm going to try and get out of the inline 6, but I just can't wait to tear into this thing. Out goes the A/C, cruise, interior, crappy tint, ... anything I don't absolutely need to drive! It's my first real beater, I'm just excited.
