the 39 flows more air imo but ill see when i get there. im hooking up the fmic and a pump the same week the turbo goes in. ill only be running stock boost until i get some management.

At 14.7psi, the 16G already flows more than the stock engine can injest at 14.7psi. So anything more isn't going to do a whole lot. I think the 16G flows like 505CFM, and the engine can ingest 450 or so. The VF22 flows like 480CFM, and the VF22 is bigger than the VF39 IIRC.
I don't recall, exactly, the compressor maps. Brat4by4 mentioned them and showed me the maps.

the 39 uses the same compressor section as the 22 just its not titanium and a different wheel. it also has a smaller exhaust housing giving it midrange.
if the 16g flows better than the 39 i think they (fhi)would have used it in the newer cars instead of going to a vf series of turbos. imo
