turbo front brakes
Are they the same size as N/A fronts?

nope
the calipers are two piston calipers, and the rotors are larger

I don't think so but I'm not 100% sure. IIRC the turbos is slightly bigger.scottzg wrote:is it the same caliper bracket?
They won't fit under 14" wheels. You need at least 15".90LegAWD wrote:do they fit under 14", or is 15" required?

Yes, it will. If you get turbo calipers, brackets, and rotors, they'll all bolt right on.
If you have 16" wheels, though, you might consider using WRX front brakes rather than Legacy Turbo ones.

I didn't know there were any NA's with 15" wheels, The largest I know about are the 14x5.5 that were on the top of the LS in 90 then changed for the 91-94 LS and LSi.vrg3 wrote:I thought some BC/BF non-turbos got the bigger brakes too... the ones that came with 15" wheels...
I believe the BF's share the same caliper in the rear as the turbo legs, and interestingly the SVX. Lemme double check taht though.

Oh. I'm just thinking of all the times I've looked brake parts up in various catalogs and they have a listing for "w/ 15-inch wheels" that has the same part numbers as "w/ turbo." But maybe those two categories are identical because they're the same cars.
Non-turbo BFs have the same size caliper piston in the rear as turbo cars, but the caliper's different because it has to fit a wider rotor.

oh right, I was wrong about it anyway. But to add to the interesting factor (at least to me) The NA sedans have the same rear caliper as FWD SVX's and the NA wagons have the same rear caliper as AWD SVX's. Yes I know this adds nothing to the discussion, but oh well

yeah, as it's been mentioned. The brackets are different from the n/a legacy front brakes. They will however bolt to the n/a just fine.
You will need 15" wheels.

Am I not correct in stating that 2.5RS brakes are identical to Legacy Turbo brakes?

yes you are not correct, I think josh or osmeone said they use the "newer" design caliper. Part numbers are differnt aswell.

Nope they're different. The bracket design is different, which in turn does change the caliper itself a little.subyluvr2212 wrote:Am I not correct in stating that 2.5RS brakes are identical to Legacy Turbo brakes?
