Purge damn you...purge..
What physically trigger the code 35? The purge solenoid has 2 leads, both for operation (i think). The canister has no sensor...So what trips the code? My solenoid works fine, but I still trip the code under boost, then the SES light goes out after I drive easy? Hmmmmm...

The code is tripped when the ECU notices the solenoid is either missing or presenting the wrong kind of electrical load.
You probably have a marginal connection in the solenoid's coil, which fails when temperatures and/or vibration go up.

Cool thanks..I'm going to pull the solenoid apart and see what's up. (then buy a new one after I can't get it to work again:)vrg3 wrote:The code is tripped when the ECU notices the solenoid is either missing or presenting the wrong kind of electrical load.

Hehehe.... I don't know if it'll be very instructive to take it apart, but do take pictures!
You should be able to replace it with pretty much any other normally closed automotive solenoid valve.

Yes, it's a binary solenoid.
The ECU's not too picky... if you want to eliminate the CEL without actually repairing the problem, you can just put a resistor in place of the solenoid. Try maybe a 2-watt 100-ohm resistor.
