intercooler options

Post by greg donovan »

ok, i am going to be getting a 94 SS soon [fingers crossed](if all goes according to plan)[/fingers crossed] and i dont want to do any mods to it untill i get a intercooler on it.

i know people use saab ones. but is there anything else aside from the wrx stuff? could a DSM fender mount one (from a eclipse) be made to fit? i have one of those laying around.

http://www.legacycentral.org/library/ai ... cooler.htm has some dimensions that might be of use.

Let us know what you find!

thanks for that. the intercooler looks very similar to the DSM one, except for the modified end tanks.

i will have to do some shopping around for someone that can weld aluminum and is willing to mod the DSM one if it will fit in the space available.

of course that may cost more than just geting one that is known to fit w/no structural mods.
