CES Boost Enhancer Plate?

is this for use in thier downpipe only? or is it for use w/stock pipe?

i would assume it was for their pipe but it looks like the pipe already has it. from the description it says it sits w/in the turbine housing.

It's a plate that goes between the turbo and DP. It just looks attached. They are turbo specific too so that you can get a perfect fit.

can it go in a stock downpipe?

or is that an exercise in futility?

cant afford to spend 1600 on a downpipe but could afford to buy this part i would imagine.

If you were looking at pics on his website then you may have seen a DP that actually did have the plate on it but wasn't one for our cars. I think he may have made DP's with the wastegate/ turbine separator flange welded on but the WRX/STI and Legacy Turbo DP's have the BEP's.

BEPs are mostly for bellmouth style pipes. I think on a stock DP it would just seal off the WG.

Ummm, really I guess you could but I don't think it would help you at all on the OEM DP. It would seperate the wastegate port from the exhaust turbine outlet but the wastegate gasses just slam into the plate on the DP. I think it might make the situation even MORE turbulant then it already is and make it hard for the wastegate gasses to exit into the DP. I really don't think it's a good idea.

MSR had a couple mild steel CES DP's for sale at the Feed and Speed. I think they anly wanted around $200 for 'em. I don't know for sure but I think that included a BEP.

It's the meet that I threw this past August, the Subaru Feed and Speed. I'm going to make it an annual event. Next year I'm shooting for June so that it's not so close to the East Coast Subaru Shootout.

duh, now i remember reading about that. wish i wasnt so far from everywhere those things are happening. right in the middle of North america can be a pain sometimes.

From what I understand from speaking with Trevor he has not been in contact with MSR himself in a while. I never got a email back from msr so I went direct to ces. Also with the australian dollar rising all of the prices on the msr website arent totally accurate anymore. This is what was explained to me by Trevor. And no you cant use those plates with other dp's

The devider only goes into the turbo side.

It can be used on a bell mouth but it won't do all that much for you. It's designed for a twin dump. It will help keep the wastegate from mixing with the turbine gas for only about an inch. That won't reduce turbulance very much.
