Few good kills last night...

Post by 91White-T »

Sentra 2.5, Audi A4 1.8T, Newer Neon riced out like crazy, 87 Monte Carlo SS, a non turbo DSM, a few Hondas...

Also had a run-in with a Neon SRT-4, those things are pretty quick, pulled me just a little bit form a 40 or so roll, and I had him off the line even without AWD working.

Got completely destroyed by a nasty sounding WRX like I wasn't even moving...

Overall a pretty good night :D

Neon SRT-4... I have to admit those are sweet cars. Dodge did something very right with that thing.
If it was AWD, I'd be all over it.

No slight to Subes... but that SRT is a tight package.
How does the price stack up to a WRX?
Please note: While I respect Subarus a great deal, I have to acknowledge the accomplishments of the other teams. Dodge is one of them.

Now, if I could get my hands on a rally configured SKODA!!!

Skoda is the, umm, British(???), conterpart of Volkswagen, just like Seat is the Spanish counterpart of VW.

If you watch rally, you know all about it.

I think the current Octavia is too big for rallying, but my favorite VW overseas is the Seat Leon Cupra R, 1.8T with 210 hp and Synchro AWD, what the Golf will always want to be

And none of you can convince me that Dodge developed the SRT-4 motor on their own, you know that Mitsubishi helped them out on that...

I got to stretch the legs in the ol'93 yesterday. I pulled out on to the highway and saw a gang of hondasand acuras cruising thru they all hit the yellow light and kept going except for one. It was an older integra I looked over at him and reved my engine and he reved back so it was on. The light turned green, I stomped on it and he stomped on it, and i could hear his tires spinning (it made me laugh and appreciate the beauty of all wheel drive) but anyway we ran up to nighty or so (I won) slowed down and he pulled up next to me again at the next light, and once again I kicked his ass and I had to do it one more time just to make a point. the guy was punching his steering wheel and flipping out, it was funny. you gotta love those honda/acura's

The one claim I can make was a 90-92 Mazda 626 with some go fast stuff on it. This was when I had my cone filter on (about 6-7 months ago). We were already movin and kinda messin around with each other a little, then he drops into 3rd and goes for it. Hehehe, I know my car very well, I left in in 4th and still beat him!!! What's even funnier is that this was when my car had bad motor mounts, a outdated knock sensor, and the heavy Rota rims! I wonder what I could do to that guy now...

I've taken out:

Every Honda, Every N/A Impreza... (yawn...)
Mercedes S500!
Acura Integra non-vtech
Audi 20V Turbo
VW Jetta VR-6
Tweaked VW 20V GTi
Really tweaked old-school VW Cabriolet (that was a laugh, it was still slow)
BMW 5-Series (Didn't see what engine)
Neon R/T (with 4 people in my car w/ slipping clutch)
The new Eclipse! They suck, don't even have a turbo option anymore. Walked all over him...
Various others...

All with my BONE stock '93T. And this was all on a closed course with a professional drive, of course....

I can't wait until my clutch/flywheel is put in today!
My clutch has been slipping progressively worse ever since I bought it in January...

My best kill was with my GL-10 turbo. It is all beat to shit and really looks like hell :D A friend of mine has a dune buggy body and needed a engine. I tell him an EA82T would be great in it, so I tell him to drive. We pull up to guy (with GF in the passenger seat :D ) in a civic VTEC all new and shiny at a light. The thing about my GL-10 is it's loud, 2.25in no cat to a small glasspack, so ricers all wanted to race. Well we pulled him pretty hard, get to the next red light, I give his GF the nod  he got all pissed, we killed him off the line and had two cars on him by 45mph. He would never even look at me after that, just straight ahead.

I tried to race an eclipse today, it was a 95/96. the kid has rims exhaust intake just a few basic mods. I kept reving at him and asking him to race and he wouldnt even aknowledge me, so I drove around some more and I saw him parked on the side of the road with a few freinds, and I gave him the old 7 grand salute, they all jumped in the car and started to follow me so I was like hell yeah about time, so were heading out to go race and the kid has a change of heart and whips around and heads the other way I turned around to go after him but he was nowhere to be found. he must have gotten scared when he heard the engine tach 7 g's, its loud. I guess he didnt want to be beaten by a subaru oh well maybe next time

The best kill i've had was against a 94 Saab 900S 2.3 liter turbo. Me and my friend were just messing around at the light, and he reved his engine at me (he has full cat-back exhaust, and a k&n filter). We went for it, and of cource my non-turbo legacy killed him (mind that I only have a k&n high flow filter). He got a little ticked off, so we went again. This time i beat him by 2 car lengths. We raced one final time and my automatic kicked his manual @ss by at least 4 car lengths. God I love my subie :D .

Took a good looking BRP GC8 with modified exhaust (and who knows what) soon after I got my AVC-r. I just don't understanding N/A tuning 4-bangers if you want speed, except for maybe auto-x classes or something.
I'm saving up for my Yugo.

I got killed, It was a 99 pontiac gtp, you know one of the supercharged ones, oh well. At least I can say I took him off the line and had him for the first 2 car lengths. Maybe I will race him again when I get my turbo back on the road

You didn't really think you were gonna take a supercharged car with 100 more hp AND 100 more lb/ft of torque than a stock EJ22T did you? I thought this topic was about kills?

Well, while we are on the subject of getting smoked. If you see an Altima 3.5 SE and you are still stock, don't think about it! I saw one and he wanted to follow me, so I took him through some twisties and completely smoked him. I got out and talked to the guy and he wanted to try some straight-line cuz he just got the car. I told him he was going to smoke me... but he wanted to see what his car would do. Anyways, I could get a jump on his car through 3rd gear before he would pass me like I was standing still. I knew that car ran 14.7's completely stock, but at least it was nice to finally get beat by something. You're head starts getting big when you keep smoking sooo many cars that think they are fast (new celicas, new eclipses, hondas, neons, cavaliers, give me a break).
