anyone get a moaning or whining once in a while?

Post by TurboLegacy »

sometimes when i get boost pressure through my intercooler it makes a weird moaning whine, and most of the time it sounds like normal compressed air. i thought it might have to do with moisture or oil in the tubes, or maybe the pipes are at a wrong angle. any suggestions?the pipe i have from my turbo to my intercooler is made of pvc, would that change anything?

Girlfriends always do that.

Sorry, I had to.

Could you have some kind of leak? Does the noise always happen at the same relative load, rpm, boost, etc.? Could the intercooler be contacting something?

Maybe your intercooler sometimes rests on the firewall and sometimes doesn't, or sometimes touches the hood and sometimes doesn't, or something like that?
