Stupid Deer

Post by MrBean85 »

I hate deer! I was driving home last night when one decided to jump a bank in front of my 92. I didn't have any time to react...just BAM! I was going somewhere between 50-55 mph.

The Damage:
right front head light
right front corner lamp
hood
right front fender
grille
right front door
and a whole lot of hair, blood, and scratches

I think what happened was when I hit it on the right front corner it tossed it up and then down the side of my car b/c you can see hoof scratches all down the side and some on the windows.

The important thing is I'm ok and no one else got hurt.

The bad news is they're probably gonna total my car. :(

I'm gonna work on getting the pictures uploaded later on

That sucks. But now you can strip a bunch of parts off that car that can go on the SS if need be, and pick up a cheap Subaru GL 4x4 for the winter.

We've got another 92 that we use for parts and its got all that I need. Even if its totatled we're planning on buying it back, fixing the deer damage, get the rust and stuff fixed repaint it like I had planned on doing later on this winter.

I can GUARANTEE that they will total it. The good news it that you can buy it back for next to nothing.

Up here I have no traffic but lots of deer to dodge. I think the deer are worse than other cars. Deer are random in their actions.

Sorry to hear it
Yes I have too many Subarus

Did you get the deer? Venison's pretty good.

The claims adjuster came this morning while I was at school, but from what he told my parents is once the damages exceed 75% of the value of the car they will total it. He said mine was right on the line of being totaled, but if it is, the buy back will be like $100 or less.

And no I didn't keep the deer b/c we've got a freezer full of it and I'm pretty sure this one was pretty ground up.
