Why are there no rebuilt power steering pumps avalible???

Post by 123c »

I spent the longest time trying to find a rebuilt power steering pump and couldn't find one. I ended up getting a good one at a wrecking yard for $40. I am just curious why there aren't any avallible anywhere :?:

Last I checked, Advance had rebuilt pumps.

For some reason all the parts stores in my area can't find them, one of the places said they could track me down a rebuilt one for $130, but that would take some work. For $40, I can't really go wrong with the pump, it works great, and it was out of a lower mileage car...
