So I bought these injectors......

Post by douglas vincent »

I hope they are really the 370 cc ones!

$43 for the turbo injectors is awesome, as long as the seller is truly knowledgable about what he is selling.

My fear is they look alot like the NA redcap injectors, and I certainly dont need anymore of those.

:(

Sorry to be the one to tell you this, but those are ~280cc/min injectors. They're of the type that were stock on 92-94 non-turbos.

The turbo injectors have pink tops, and are mounted at 45-degree angles.

There weren't any 1990 EJ22Ts anyhow.

Maybe you could try modding and testing these ones, though. I've modified some of them but never got around to flow-testing them. It's pretty easy to do. Remove the brown plastic pintle cap, and then cut off the little plate that's microwelded onto the tip of the pintle. Replace the pintle cap and you're done.

Uh... wait a sec, is that seller stant093 from this board?

Yes it appears to be the one and the same.

I am going to back out of this sale if you are about 95% sure they arent the turbo injectors.

I was just hoping for the best. I already picked up the same same set off a 92 in the junkyard for kicks.

Damn,

I am 100% sure the injectors pictured aren't turbo injectors.

In my dealings with him he's been a really good guy, so I'd have to guess this is an honest mistake, and I'd expect him to willingly cancel the transaction.

Yeah, that's what I was suggesting. But he's already got a set of 92 non-turbo injectors to try that with.

I dont want to be an asshole to the guy. Is there anyway these could be 370 cc injectors? I seriously doubt it but would love to be wrong.

I don't think so... :| They look exactly like the 92-94 NA injectors that I'm pretty familiar with. All the turbo injectors I've seen are mounted diagonally in the rails, have no plastic caps on the tips, and have pink tops.

I don't think you'll come off as an asshole... just let him know that you're not really confident that the eBay listing was accurate, and point him to this thread. Blame me if you like ;). Like I said, every time I've communicated or traded with him he was very honest and friendly. And I think if he tells eBay that the two of you mutually decided not to pursue the transaction he can even get his listing fee refunded (after eBay confirms it with you).

Oops, too slow.

Hi Sam!

I'm glad you guys amicably resolved it... And like I said, I think if you tell eBay the transaction didn't happen you should be able to get your listing fee back.
