HELP: Installing a Carbon Fiber WRX Hood Scoop

Post by blueslsti2004 »

So I just acquired a carbon fiber WRX hood scoop and I need help installing it. I have a 94 legacy L. First, question to ask, should I get a turbo hood or should I just keep my hood and cut into it? Next, how in the world do I install it? I know a few of you have done this, so I need your help! Thanx in advance!!!

You are putting a scoop on an N/A car? ooookkkkkkk

Just cut into your hood and bolt it down. Should be pretty straight forward. I was going to do that, but I've just got other plans.

Eventually going to turbo it... after I get done doing all the exterior work...

For right now, the scoop will flow the air into my K & N Intake.

Wouldn't it make more sense to wait until you turbo it, so as to locate the scoop correctly ?
That beer you are drinking cost more than my car

Ya, you are correct, but I think I want to do an air to water intercooler.]

So you are going to offset a scoop in your hood?

Just get some self-tapping sheetmetal screws and bolt it directly to the hood without cutting a hole.

Did you buy this off of Justin?

If so, I was the other party that was interested. I had the cash, but he said the sale was pending. :(
