Personalized Plate

Post by LaureltheQueen »

I know, I know, I'm such a ricer, but I'm thinking of getting another personalized plate for the touring wagon...

Possibilities that I'm entertaining
TRBOWGN(do i really want to advertise?)
PRTYWGN(just like on ruby, only drawback is people thing it says "prettywagon")
AWDRIVN(kinda cheezy)

any suggestions? I'm drawing a blank

Yeah, don't give the bastards at the DMV any extra money.

Yeah, you know my point of view on this. WHY make your car instantly identifiable to would-be thieves and troublemakers? Especially since you're a very attractive young woman.

SOME annonymity is a good thing when behind the wheel.

(This is also why I'll NEVER sport any campaign or political stickerage of any kind on my vehicles. I want to give people ZERO reasons to dislike my opinions. . . especially in my absence, and when damage to said vehicles might be their "disapproval" of my opinions)

Well I won't go with that "I don't want to piss people off" thing. I am who I am, and if you don't like it that's just fine with me. I'm not into stickers much but after I put a big "Infantry" sticker on the back window nobody would ride on my ass.

I don't like the DMV getting one more cent out of me than I have to give.

cool plate #'s I've seen

Indeed. . . would you want your car vandalized in your absence because you not caring meant someone takes their disagreement with your opinions out on your car?

I'm not saying I pussyfoot around. But why make my CAR a target for people not agreeing with my views and opinions on things? That's just how I feel, though.

I agree with Art about vandalism worries. It also helps sometimes to not be so quickly identifiable. Anyway, as Art noted previously too, my ex had her name on her plate (sort of a joke) and drove a white Monte SS and got way too much attention from assmonkeys for it. The attention she got was bad enough when she wasn't in the car, but it was worse after. She no longer has a personalized plate.

My friend had an El Camino with gun rights stickers on the rear window and nobody, not cops or anyone ever bothered him. Hm, I suppose part of the cop immunity may have been that the car always wanted to go slow.

How many characters max? And what is the order of normal plates (xxx-####, xx##xx#, etc?) Since you normally aren't allowed to replicate that order with custom plates.

EJ22T is one I wanted to get, but that is the same as a motorcycle plate, so no go. And now they switched to plastic custom plates, horrible.

EJ22T
BF6 22T
EJ22T BF

I like the numerical and chassis code ones, since only a true fan would recognize. Not everyone would see the "T" and think turbo, and from taking a look at our cars, most would assume there isn't one. Heck, even with my hood open and "turbo" in red letters on the coilpack cover, most people still can't figure it out.

PB4UGO.

..

I would think that there are 7 characters max, but that's just in WA.. I don't know too much about the midwestern states, your patterns are screwy. But 7 is my bet; 6 chars, (3 letters, 3 numbers, plus the dash. )
