They like to pimp out there ford escorts/6cyl.mustangs and their neons and their pontiac grandams/prixs with the body kits and a muffler and thats all the father they get it just pisses me off oh yeah lets not forget about the stickers you gotta have stickers if you wanna be someone around here ...damn rednecks. sorry had to vent well im going on a skate park tour this weekend hopefully i will get a few more races in wish me luck

Hey im back, and I have 2 more wins under my belt, I'm not sure what year the corvette was I think it was middle 70's or so but I was behind him at an intersection and he pulled out on to the highway and stood on it and so did I, we met up at the next stop lights I revved my my engine at him and the guy smiled at me then the lights turned green, we only raced up to 50 mph then he let off but I was ahead of him the whole time by about a car length and Im not even sure what the other car was,it might of been a celica judging from the head lights but he came just flying up on my ass, he was like 3 feet from my bumper so we both stood on it and I pulled really hard on the guy not 1 but 2 times it was pretty funny

Only had the car for a short while.. 2 kills so far.
[I drive a 94 Turbo Wagon.. it's winestone red and looks like a little
old station wagon with a hood scoop]

1: Late 90's riced out honda civic with some snooty bitch driving.
she was fucking angry when i took 3 car lengths on her before 70kph..

2: Some 17 year old in his buick la sabre. It was in the rain while he spun out and i took off. i didn't even tramp the gas.

He was fun tho cause afterwards he gave the thumbs up and we just cruised for a while.. i like it when other folk just have fun with it and dont turn into asswholes with the ricer fly by.

Go ahead and spoil their little "ricer fly-by", then they get so peeved it's not even funny (well, actually it is). Oh... I'm sorry you still couldn't pass me with a half-mile start behind me? Funny thing headlights can tell you about people accelerating and such.... dorks.

Finally ran into a Neon SRT-4 on the highway... Let's just say he could have beat me on the straights. But he didn't  . Right now I'd bet a hundred bucks he's shaking his head wondering "what the heck was that??".

Project Lazy is now in stage 2. The battery is now relocated. Water pump is here (jabsco centrifugal pump... absolute thing of beauty :) ) Water resevoir should be moved this week, I have all the lines. AWIC installed soon??? Anyone want to come to NE Ohio to help me?

Killed some insignificant Hondas and such, stayed even with a BMW 323 to an indicated 130+, but my favorite was getting killed by a Lotus V8 (not that it was a race) - the thing took off from me at ~120 like we had been parked!

Lotus V8 huh. I got slaughtered by a Porsche 911T one night. We were both cruising about 90 side by side and came up upon some cars in front of us. (4 lanes) He was in the far left and I went beside him so he couldn't get around then when another slow car was just about to pass on the right I stepped on it and went around the right and blew by them all around 100 mph and got some distance ahead of him left him blocked in. Anyhow, he caught up about two miles later and paced me at about 100-110 then left me behind about 1/4 mile before my exit. I saw a 350Z coming up at about 95-100 to play just as I was exiting. The 911 had to have hit 135-140 when he left me. It was a fun night.

The Pike is about 10 minutes from Manchester, thats all I'm gonna say... :D

The Pike unfortunately is now overrun with cops thanks to the fast and furious crew, so not much racing happens there anymore, its really more of a cruise scene now but still a lot of fun...

Most of my closed course races happen in random places all over the area... Like this one just a few hours ago... 98? Eclipse GS-T with a LOUD turbo, from a light, he jumped me and I still had him by a hoodlength before we stopped.

How'd you hear about the Pike?

I'm really proud of what dodge has done with the srt-4 neon. they've taken an already unreliable, iffy platform, and put a turbo on it. lol

Come on man...It's the Pike! It's about 2Hrs from my house but I got a freind that lives in Colchester. So far I'v only made it there once and I was crewsin the Monster Loyal so I definitlly wasn't doing any racing.
It is a pretty cool place to hang and check out some wild rides, and lots of rice.

LaureltheQueen: I dont agree. The Neon and Miata are the two fastest and best handling cars for the money. The autocross following for them is huge. The common problems are well documented, since many owners push the cars hard. I cant say much on the reliability of the srt-4 engine but they did have it in the PT-Cruiser first and the new NA models are getting the same basic turbo engine (minus a few items).

Guys. . . let's first realize that Laurel was referring only to the Neon in her post. I doubt you'd get any complaints out of her regarding the Miata's worthiness on the autocross course.

I have to agree with her on the Neon, though. It's an economy car . . . which, at best, can be compared mainly with Civics, Foci, and Cavaliers. The SRT-4 would be one possible exception. . . . but again, as she stated, the overall platform of the Neon (at least in my findings) is largely subpar.

Just curious if you've ever driven a Neon before. The only one I've ever driven handled really well. Underpowered, yes, but it was a blast to drive otherwise (for a FWD car that is ). I'm not trying to talk sh1t, I'm just trying to figure out why people dislike the Neon so much.

You guys should read the article in the current Sport Compact Car about the SRT-4's engine.

It is awesome. Chrysler was very thorough in making sure that engine would be able to handle boost, and handle it well. Kind of like what Subaru did when designing the EJ20T and EJ22T.

I can't find my SCC right now, but when I do I'll post some of the highlights.
