any will fit.

You will need 16" wheels to clear the brakes.

From 2003+ they changed the style of the tabs on the pads. Only reason that matters is, back when the 2003 first came out the number of aftermarket pads availabe wasn't as great as the 2002.

Just something to keep in mind, so you know you get the correct pads.

Don't 05-up WRXes use a different hub bolt pattern?

ummm.....not that I have heard of. I don't see why subaru would use a different bolt pattern.

I thought they switched to the bolt pattern the SVX uses. I could be wrong though.

Just the 05 STi's have the 5 X 114.3, the 05 WRX's have the 5 X 100 pattern they always did.

Well no, you can't use svx wheels and those at 16". Anything that is 5x100 so long as they fit over the brakes ytou upgrade to. In stock form you can wear all baja, legacy, forester, outback, xt6, and all impreza except the 05 USDM sti. 14"-17" doesnt matter. This includes all non-USDM wheels.

Does anyone have a description of the '03 model year pads? I have the 2002 model year calipers and they have one large tab on either side of the pad. If you get 2002 brakes they'll ask you for the VIN to determine which style pad. The change seems to have taken place at the model year change, but if you don't know which month 2002 WRX the braks came from you it would be nice not to have to guess.

Well, 2002 WRX brakes fit perfect under Forester flat 5-spokes. They couldn't be any bigger without rubbing, but that's why they fill out the wheel so nicely. Look great and the OEM ones have painted vents and hubs so they should look good for a while.

Just REALLY needs a good bleeding now, but it's too dark so I'll wait until tomorrow.

The rust inhibition probably helps the wheels seat well and also makes it not look like crap, I guess. Even before they started painting them black they used to put some kind of coating on them, presumably for the same purpose.

Yeah, I had to pull my old rotors off because they had a heavy rusted scale lip that formed behind the hub. Had to break that lip off by pulling. The friction surface isn't painted, just the non-friction surface. I don't know if the paint will prevent that rust issue from coming back, but they should at least look nicer for longer. The important thing is how amazing it is to have good brakes again and, man, do these work!

I painted the calipers silver to protect them and promptly spilled brake fluid on the back while bleeding the system ... At least the visible part's painted.
