I've a 92 uk legacy wagon(estate) 2.0 turbo and i can't stop it.
I've loads of play on the pedal and have to pump it up once to stop. I've tried bleading the front calipers but this made no difference. Also when the engine revs are high the pedal becomes stiff and harder to press.
Anyone had this problem.

To properly bleed the brakes you need to bleed all four corners, and bleed in this order

yes do the bleeding first but definitely check the brake booster vacuum line for integrity.
If the booster works at all, you can test that by pumping the brakes several times before starting the car and holding (the pedal should be rock hard), then start the car. As the vacuum comes on line the pedal should depress about 1/2" further without increasing your pressure, that is the booster pressure coming on line. If not OK then the vacuum line is bad or the booster is shot completely.
If that works OK and you have bled everything, but still trouble at higher RPM, suspect that the vacuum line may be collapsing or the one-way valve in it is acting up, both cheap repairs.
If that is all good then you are in it for a replacement booster
