clunking in the rear
i have a 92 turbo wagon and have noticed a clunking coming out of the rear. It doesn't matter if I go forward or back its still there and it doesn't happen all the time. The only way I can make it happen is if I'm driving forward and turn the car one way and then sharply turn it the other way, then it sounds like something is slapping the underneath of the car. any suggestions would be appreciated!

Probably the front part of the rear subfram. The whiteline subframe bushings help with this clunking.
Other possibility is the bushings on the rear diff mount.
Last possibility is the bushings that are on the rear subframe.

that quick turn also puts maximum torque on the sway bar, so check the mount bushings and endlinks. If the mount bushings are bad it usually clunks more over normal bumps, but it sure is easy to check.
One easy way to check would be to remove the bar, which would take maybe 15 minutes (four bolts), then see if the clunk goes away. That's also the only way to thoroughly check the bushings. Have a spare set of mount bushings ready.

That beer you are drinking cost more than my car
