That little dash piece..

Post by tris91ricer »

Okay, maybe Vikash can answer this, or some of you with catalogs of part descriptions and numbers.. but...
I need to replace the dash piece that's a little square just above the radio bezel. It sits flush with the rest of the black trim there, to the left of the HVAC controls, and i believe on some models, it may have held some kind of switch, although I'm not sure what.

I busted mine in my 91, and then later, with my 92, the dealer had wired up some cruise control dealie to it, and plasti-welded some cruise switch on it, ala-factory style..

Any help, guys?

I have a pic from 1stsubaruparts.com with numbers corresponding to dash pieces, so if it needs to be clarified, I can add that.

From your description, that's the spot where the air suspension switch would go. Those pieces just pop out, I believe.

I've got one sitting here that I'm going to put a switch into, but there's no part number on it.

And yeah, its were the air suspension switch goes.

okay! Air suspension it is! ..That sounds correct, anyhow. Sorry, Cliff, I don't have a picture of the real part, just a schematic of the area, and a paintbrush-job of red circling..
Now I just need to call the stealership! Thanks fellas!

Yeah it's the blank that goes into the spot where the air suspension goes.

Just go to a junkyard, you're bound to find a legacy that still has that piece in there, or someone on the board might have one.

Anyway, the part # is 83003AA060
