And now it's been properly Seafoam'ed!
I can't go outside yet, without getting a nasty taste.

Are we getting snow here in olympia area? I don't watch TV. That's gay I'm not pleased to hear that.
I wish my car was running. I have 4 studded snows ready to go on too. But I also have 4 studded snows for my metro but that thing still sucked last winter even with those tires! I kept getting high centered on the roads and if I had to stop, I couldn't get going again.

I wondered if I should move it out of the backyard before the 6-8 inches of snow we're supposed to get tomorrow, then decided it'd be more fun if I left it there for now

What - it finally warm up enough that it won't freeze overnight?
(I hate it when that happens!)

Not today but I'm still excited, couple days ago I put an Invidia N1 on, I love it
Today I tried to put on a new CV boot. Don't buy Speedi Boots, ever, what a horrible design, I wasn't even gonna put it on but for some reason I felt the need to try it, there wasn't enough solvent for the boot, and with all the different inserts and quirks with it, it's just ridiculous that people use them as permanent replacements. It's not even speedy, it's faster to take off the axle...
Now I have to wait until tomorrow to get a real boot.

I so hate Mondays!
Just finished installing a VF30 (long story) on Sunday and the car ran great. Went on a 100 mile RT cruise Sun. afternoon, no probs.
I leave for lunch (I have a 5 min. commute), take the freeway to get my fix, and look out the back and steam is coming out! So pull into my drive, pop the hood and the upper water hose @ the turbo has sprung a leak.
Due to my TMIC intake hose, there is a bit of pressure on that hose as runs under the TMIC to my tank. But it's been that way for over a year!
So, I run to Napa in our other car, grab a length of hose, hook it up, fill it up w/coolant and let it run - I got an air bubble as the gauge is getting vertical....and now I need to back to work. So take the other car.
After work, I get the front of the car in the air on some ramps, fill the upper radiator hose, top off tank and radiator (NA), and everything is back to normal.
Head to Spokane (30 miles) to look @ a Subie, and on my way back-5 mins from home (thankfully), what do I see? Another plume of steam emanating from the rear! Back in the driveway, pop the hood and now the OTHER end of that SAME (but new) hose has sprung a leak - but it's a cracked nipple on the tank! And I thought I was going to miss the joy of having to replace it. Thankfully I have an extra WRX tank lying/laying (?) around. I get it installed after messing w/hoses for an hour, and so far so good.
Did I say I hate Mondays?

Wow I never realized how tiny these engines were, transmission is monstrous compared to it.
If anyone cares, I bought and installed a new axle yesterday, at least now I don't have to worry about it anymore...

I fixed a coolant leak last night that was causing the overflow tank to fill up.
Turns out the line I have tied to the overflow of the non-turbo radiator to the turbo coolant tank had a small leak. The hose just got hard and wasn't sealing. Pressure tested the cooling system and found the leak. Cut an inch off the hose and put it back on the coolant tank.
Everything seems good, and the cooling system held 20 psi for over an hour.

Looks like I didn't fix the problem.....I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I have my suspicions about it being a head gasket....
