Its a very long dp but if i plumbed it back farther and maybe made it 2.75 or 2.5 out would that help?

Yes I did! Thank you all. Oil in intake and on the firewall and smoke on start-up were all caused by too much oil. I did an oil change and measured out exactly how much oil I need and problem went away.

Just got my JEGS U-Bend 3 inch pipes and 2 four foot SS 3 inch pipes and flanges for my custom exhaust.

Added a Nardi steering wheel with NRG 3.0 Quick disconnect and short hub.

It has been a while so I figured I would show whats new:

Stock exhaust had to go


Ordered 3" SS pipe straight and U-Bend



Cutting and welding and more cutting


We set up the exhaust but the flanges and gaskets were missing so we left it open down-pipe for a while

Finally tonight we finished off the welds and hangers










I miss the open DP but no rattles and now my girl can ride with me and not hate it the whole time. Hope to get a new exhaust video up too.

SO.........I can hear a slight knock starting and its not making me very happy.

^^^^^...and the knock has now shut the car down. Last night it died and when I started it back up I could hear the rod real bad. So now it is time to tear it apart, again. Anyone know someone that has a crank in case I need one?

You probably already know this, but the crank is the same between the non-turbo & turbo engines.

Ok so the fun has now begun...

I split the block and as I was doing so found a few issues to address as I put it back together. (Remember this has been taken apart and put back together in DEC 2011)

1) Oil is caked all over the the bottom hose on my turbo that goes into the block.
2) Minor oil in the intake
3) Hard splitting harnesses to the sensors on the crossover
4) Spark plugs are a light grayish white color
5) Oil pressure sensor (New in DEC11) had oil all over it
6) Spray of oil on the hood above the belts
7) A/C support was loose and could move about a 1/4 inch front to back. And tore up two bolts.

Lightweight crank pulley is tweeked and the back looks like it is toast
