^ that is SUPER badass! what scale is that?

I blew one of my 3-4k mile Goodyear GT's on a small canyon that some ass wipes of a construction company failed to fill after they dug a trench across the road, and obviously didn't realize how much class5 settles the first time it gets a good soaking. Their trench is literally 5-6 inches below the blacktop edge, I'm surprised I only blew one tire and didn't take out the oil pan or anything else. If anyone has never seen a 215/45/17 split all the way up the side wall I'll have to get a pic tomorrow in the daylight. I have road hazard protection on the tires, so i should be covered there, but if one of my 05' LGT 17's is bent I'm gonna go on a good old fashion shooting spree.

It's 1:43 scale, pretty small. It's even the right color, I couldn't resist.

That sucks! I barely missed a similar situation just last week. I saw a cop car go rushing by on the freeway and then up ahead traffic stopped and I was only a few cars back from where the first car stopped and I saw a couple cop cars and a work truck with a sign directing traffic around on one lane. When we drove by I saw a good sized hole in the freeway. No idea how the hell that got there but up ahead I saw 3 or 4 cars pulled over with blown out tires and probably bent wheels and one was an 04-05 STI and it looked like he probably destroyed a wheel or two and definitely toasted a couple tires.

It was at this point that I told my GF she saved my tires and wheels by taking so long to get ready. Haha.

Once I get home from college, I'm gonna switch some lights around on the light bar and, depending on weather, paint the red section of the rear garnish solid black. I'm planning on going projector over the weekend, I should be the fifth first gen owner to have projector headlights. And the second on the west coast. I've decided to put the dual beam aftermarket set-up on hold untill I can get a second set of headlights to use for that, so for now I'm gonna take the projectors and fit them to the stock housings.

This week wasn't the greatest week for the Impreza. I had the battery die on me and the AC. Luckily I was able to get a new battery fairly easy, and the AC issue turned out to be a leaking o-ring. Replaced the o-ring & recharged the AC.

edit: Here are pics from the AC work

Sand blasted wiper arms, drilled holes to prep for spoiler installation. Powder coating place tomorrow hopefully.

Man, you're going all out with that. Do you have the Accord
or 2.5 RS wiper spoiler?

Accord is the one I plan on using. I finally gave in and took the spoiler off the rs arms, but initially it didn't fit well because the mounting holes were angled. After some trimming with a razor I got it to fit on the arm, but it hung down kind of low on to the cowling. So I have a spare one if anyone is interested in buying it. If you re position the arms it should be fine, but I didn't spend enough time on it to guarantee that.

powder coating done. Is it just me or is it impossible to find rivets? I went to the three major hardware stores in the area (probably the problem), and couldn't find rivets in the correct dimensions, let alone black rivets.

Did you go to Fastenal at 3301 Cedar in Everett? Usually when I can't find a bolt or fastener I head down there and they have just what I need 90% of the time when noone else does.

Changed the oil, rotated the tires, washed it, cleaned out the fender wells, tinted the front corner lights amber, and, the best one, caught air!!!!

I threw in my Autometer's this afternoon. I still have to hook up the oil and water, but I really only wanted the boost gauge in there ASAP so i could see what i was running.

Next step is to install my Wideband and Zeitronix Display and data logger so i can see what the tune is like, it seems to be running pretty rich.

Got the drivers headlight back together after sanding the fluting out of the lense where the projector shines through and I finally got started on the roof rack install. Half done with the roof rack and only got the right headlight lense to finish up then its all done.
