I had a great time meeting some of you. I didn't get to spend a lot of time meeting everyone, as we were trying to eliminate some leakage issues on the SVX Racer.

Special thanks go out to Sam, for letting us borrow his TCU while we tried to track down a funky shifting issue.

I've got some photos, where do you want them?
Lots of fun with the subie crowd. It was fun meeting everyone, and doing my first neutral bomb.

Good to see you on the BBS, Mark. Can you host your photos? You could create an account with Thawa's thing, or send them to either Phil or myself and we could host them.

I guess we need a Feed and Speed photo thread too.

It sure was. I still haven't come across your belt though. Are you sure you left it here?

Thanks to everyone that came! We had a really good time and it was great to see everyone again. The shop night/BBQ and the F&S aftermath was actually kind of more fun then the actual racing IMO.

THe racing would have been much more enjoyable if we weren't being attacked by Gremlins the whole time. Both Phil and I were having serious fuel cut issues and couldn't get a clean run in. I was also having a lot of trouble with my launching technique on the ACT Streetlite and Spec stage 1 clutch (the Spec clutch shudders really bad too :( ). I'd either slip it too much or bog it down off the line. My best 60' was only a 2 second flat (should have been able to get 1.8-1.9) with most being 2.2-2.3, yikes.

I did get in one run without FC but had a horrible launch with a 60' of like 2.38, ending in a 15 flat 1/4. Unfortunately, that was the fastest run put down by any of us BC/BF guys. :( IIRC Phils best time was like a 15.5 or 15.6 but that was with 3 or 4 fuel cuts on the way down the track. I too was hitting FC 3-4 times down the track and pulled mostly 15.5's-15.7's. I stopped even really trying to run the 1/4 and instead concentrated on my R/T and 60' times which were still OK at best.

So hopefully we can get our FC problem solved before the Shootout and get some real times. I'm so curious to see what our setups are capable of and I'm beyond frustrated with this persistant FC issue that has us all boggled as of yet. :l

Fastest Subie there was a stage 2 STi that still only pulled a best of 13.2! HE was hoping to run mid 12's but the track was running extremely slow and everyone was complaining about it.

Anyways, it was still a really good time (I especially enjoyed it when we went and ran the Rosevalley hill climb!) and again, thanks to all that showed up. :D

Next time I won't get hit by 5-0 aircraft so I'll feel like paying to run at the track. I think the pricks got me one of those bogus double-fine 'work zones' so many states set up where there's suspiciously no signs of work going on.

Got back at 4:30 AM (had to wait an hour at the GW ... at midnight!). Just under 1000 miles total 3:30 Sat to 4:30 Sun. It was a great time and I'm telling everyone about Phil's offer to buy my car! Joke or no, the words were said.

Dave Dave Dave Dave.... you have 1.1 Liters of displacement on me, how can that be a fair fight?

Besides, was her fastest run on my TCU perhaps?
Probably not, but gah, PM Matt your address for the prize.

Oh son of a...you guys brought the SVX Racer up to that? Dammit, I knew I should have somehow gotten the money for gas and stuff to come up. I know that car! I knew it before the front differential crapped out. I was driving it when it failed.

Who said life is fair?? If life was fair, there would be an off the shelf/bolt up SC to give the racer 500 chp for under $500
As far as the prize goes, it was a mainly Legacy meet. We were there to meet folks, have fun and test out some things on the car. So you can hold onto the prize. <maybe I should find out what the prize is before conceding???>

btw... her best run was done on the stock SVX TCU:wink:

Also for those interested in the progress of the car, we have an AWD tranny to go in, we have the racing seat/harness ready to go in and we're working out a few ideas to firm up the supension a little bit more :D

mer.... haha, it's ok, my wagon just got a snazzy new door, pin stripe, and trim blackout, making it the nicest looking fastest N/A wagon powered by an EJ22 and it was AWD. There, I invented my own class because of you damn EG33 kids. Can I have an EG33 too so I can be fastAr? (chortle)
