I took my sedan for a quick drive today. For some reason, the almost dying issue pretty much goes away when I put the car in drive. I'm pretty confused by this.

Well, it's been a good car weekend here. First we spent yesterday going to pick up my wifes new car after her beloved 2.5RS coupe was totaled out on a deer hit: 2004 WRX with a ej257, forged pistons, ported/polished 2.0 heads, GT52 element tuning turbo, HUGE TMIC, pro-torque stall converter, 133k miles (13k on motor/build) and it's damn near mint inside and out.

I think she likes it, the whole drive home pretty much looked like this according to my sister

and the car

Then today I FINALLY had time to roll/pull all of my fenders, rust proof the inside of the lip, and put my 05' LGT wheels on

And for fun, here it is parked next to my old car (of former 2.2GT-T honor) that is my sister's car to show stock vs. Lowered:

I made and tested a stealth intake silencer.
Cut the box open and added a breather hole inside. Joined tube parts with a 3" coupler no clamps as its such a tight fit.
Then abs glued it back together. Now it makes all the right noises but looks totally stock!
Next is the ram air intlet for the airbox.

I towed a '84 Chevy S-10 4x4 with my sedan last night. Pulled it about ten miles then the left rear tire blew up. No problems from my sedan, just a little harder to get going.

Dual range swap 80% complete. EA trans mounted in car. EA flywheel and clutch installed on the Frankenmotor. Waiting for FedEx to find my house and deliver the axles that were supposed to come last week. Now that I've got a spare 2.2 and 5MT I might have to pickup a sedan!

^ More info on the dual range swap? It would be amazing to have a dual range in my sedan.

I changed my wheels a bit today. No pictures yet as it was dark once I finished.

short list

EA-EJ adapter plate
EA82 redrilled flywheel
EA82 clutch and p plate
93 Impreza FWD front axles
Custom mount for tranny (Redrill EJ crossmember)
Longer drive shaft
Complete EA82 Dual range trans with linkage 85-88

Installed the new axles on Monday. Mated the engine and trans yesterday. Today will be the shift linkage mods. Only reason I need to mod mine is because of the 6" lift. Thursday will be the drive shaft. I pulled a drive shaft from an 03 Outback. The length is good but I need to switch the rear yoke. This involves replacing the staked in U joint. Fun fun :/

Broke the bypass valve hose on saturday. I was working on a coffee cup mod when it broke. I guess its a good thing I'm not driving my wagon till spring.
