Replaced cam and crank wiring to solve a cut problem. Car runs better, but problem remains.

Did you install the box in the fender? You can remove this and you'll get a little more intake noise. However, if you are planning to fjord any rivers, I'd probably leave it in.

I removed the silencer in the fender and used an old 90 hose I had for an old intake to seal the fender hole and connect inside the air box. The box is from a 90s na and doesnt bolt up right so that's the only thing securing it and doing quite well

working on blacknight (92TW) and changed the oil today and installed a Fumoto quick drain valve.
then installed a metal under tray.
painted metal under tray
installing Fumoto quick drain valve (yes, thats a STI oil pan with killer B pickup inside)
drilling hole for hose to poke thru
everything installed
also did some work to the 94 LSi
before bumper and grill
after bumper and grill - (painting hood white tomrw)
bled the brakes since it now has turbo f/r SS calipers and new rotors and pads. plus a SVX master cyl
fixed the short throw shifter cause the locking ring came out.
and changed the oil tonight.
complete exhaust from heads back w/ magna flow muffler
interior - with short throw shifter.
engine - with intake and light weight crank pulley.

Got the Fast Motor sports 3" cat-back installed today. Car now boostsich better than with the open down pipe. I've gotta do some test runs and dial back my MBC so I'm not hitting fuel cut merging onto the highway :p

I learned that I hate hate HATE removing/installing the timing belt. I also learned that PO jacked up the bolt hole for the tensioner pulley, so I just spent 2 hours digging one out of a junk yard.
Maybe I should use glue the belt down so it doesn't jump teeth on install. That sounds like a great idea.

Thats a pretty common problem. What i usually do in that case is re tap the threads and just put a longer bolt in. Works just fine and saves you from having to run around.

I both lack a tap and die set, and needed my car running faster than it would take to procure a set worth spending money on.

Changed rear diff fluid and discharged my AC compressor at work. Got home and took the compressor out, so now to fab a bracket for the coolant tank to go in that spot! I also installed a cold air intake today and replaced so janky intercooler hose. Runs smoother. I re-routed my BPV hoses too.
