I feel like I can pull a door skin in 30 seconds flat now with how many switches I've been through. Picked up a couple spares at a local pull apart yard in case I have to deal with another one.

Found the following parts and spent a total of $16.50

- Pair of corner lights without broken tabs (Subaru wants $104 USD for EACH!!!)
- New(ish) rear wiper arm
- Working visors!
- Trunk pull cover (isn't perfect, but 'meh)

On top of that, I walked out this morning to realize my friend had pilfered my old school 70's Subaru badge from my grille and put it on his STi.

I decided to then take off my grill because it was pretty haggard and flat blacked it and we jokingly put on his cherryblossom red Subaru badge.

We're considering pulling my bumpers since both have the spiderweb cracks of doom and need a fully respray. Not sure what color to go with them. We were considering flat black, a'la AE86, just not sure how it would look on the rally wagon.

Also picked up a set of '06 WRX wagon springs that were going to find a home in a rubbish bin. Now to get a new job and pick up the remaining parts so I can throw these springs on. I can't say how excited I am about that with the current height of the Legacy. As much as I enjoy being able to mob over any speed bump I can find, it's a little tipsy when not driving in a straight line.

I fixed the rear gate power lock on the Impreza this past weekend. The wire was pinched and cut where the gate opens and closes. Had to splice the wire with only about 1/4" of wire sticking out of the harness. It's fixed thankfully.

More like over the course of the last week, but I got the hood back yesterday. Hood painted, and wheels put on, :-D

So glad I don't have to look at that fat spot of peeled clearcoat anymore, and it handles a lot better with these wheels/tires. Now to install my intercooler

And yes it's kind of hazy, can't buff/wax it for 30 days.

Nice example you got there :smt023

I paid for interior yesterday, so what looks like mint 95 wrx interior should be on its way. Also, my brother is tracking down a set of brand new front wings, they will definitely do some good and remove more than half of the rust needed to be fixed.

But where the f... are my coil packs, they've been "on its way" for 14 days now :-x

ARGH the courier refused to take the interior as the "dimensional weight" was too high, what the f*ck does that mean :smt017

In the States, some carriers refuse larger or odd-shaped packages as they take up too much room/are too hard to pack into various trucks. The rest just charge an arm and a leg to ship them. My guess is it has something to do with that.

They were informed about weight and dimensions when I got the quotation, they suddenly just wanted $90 more and the seller (rightfully) assumed I wasn't willing to pay that much and cancelled the deal.

Oh well, my coil packs have arrived at the postoffice and I will go pick them up tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to the weekend anyway :-)

Replaced my BPV after having to wait a week for a new one to be shipped after the old one was broken by AA *beep beep* MCO. Discovered that they also had turned my MBC all the way up so she was pushing for maximum boost... Figured this one out after a quick stab at the throttle resulted in 15 lbs boost before I let off instead of the normal 11 lbs I keep it set to. quick examination and yes. the MBC is set to max... gonna go have a little chat with the manager Tuesday when the shop reopens.

Shes runninh aces up now though.

I love how you're doing this in your (what appears to be) living room, that's awsome.

Yup, building it in the living room :)

Trying to keep internals clean while building, plus it's a lot cooler in the house than in the garage ;)
