The only good point I can see about the Scion is that it won't roll very well.

I honestly cannot imagine that thing getting any milage. It's underpowered for it's size and weight, it's a box, and it has almost all flat faces (sides). Aerodynamics didn't play much of a roll in it's design, I can see.

i love the scions. They have very high quality interiors for the price, they're cool lookin, and get very decent mileage(except for the tc) They may be under powered, but it's a COMMUTER car. not designed for any kind of performance. It's good, reliable, attractive(debatable), and comfortable

I'd much rather have a Smart For-Two if they ever come over here or a Mini (the extra purchase price will likely be covered by greater resale).

i think the target market is high school students who's parents want them to have a reliable, new car. I think they're cutting in just above the hyundais, and they're definitely marketing to teenagers, going on high school tours and whatnot

One thing that bugs the hell out of me is that center mounted cluster... what the hell is that....

Either than that im not too fond of the A... the B is ok but i would say the C is a nice looking car but i have not seen the interior yet.
THe whole box look is not my thing. But for those guys who want to get all the custom shit right out of the factory without doing it al themselves or paying someone to do it later its right up their alley.

I can see Ciper's point. As a person that HAS to commute daily, and needs a reliable car - it is nice to have an appliance car - My 03 Legacy fits that bill. It is cheap, reliable, and my wife loves it.

My Turbo on the other hand, when I was commuting with it, was having issues - not that they were insurmountable, but required a couple of hours of maintenance every weekend.

The 03, drive it through a carwash, a JL every couple of months, and gas and I am done.

I was planning on an echo or so as a commuter car also, but with 2 kids and a dog....

The other real reason for an appliance car is the emotional attachment we all have to our Legacies - I am less upset for door dings on the 03, as it is a lease and not really my car than on my Turbo.

new car is appliance, old car is my baby.

My old Legacy is more reliable than most new cars and is long paid for. I applied for a job at a golf course for landscape maintenance (golf, I know, but I'm getting desperate here!) and there wasn't a single (expensive) car in the lot that I'd enjoy or trust over my car.

People at Toyota are jaw-on-the-floor dumbfounded when I tell them that I'd drive a brand-new Sequoia off a cliff before I'd even think about parting with my Scoobs.

I wouldn't mind having a Corolla XRS with 170hp and 6-speed to tear-ass around town in reliably with no worries while I toyed around with my Subarus, but it's just not worth it, especially when my cars have been so reliable up to this point.

LOL.....that's too funny....drive a new sequoia off a cliff.

I think the new scion sedan isn't too bad looking. If someone gave one to me I'd drive it around town.
