I'll get out of your thread.
Matt
I'm just feeling sorry for myself because my bass player is taking a job in King of Prussia (6 12's a week) and this the third time he's pulled this crap. The girl I've been digging on is pulling the same "I'll call you right back" and never does BS. She claims she likes me too but doesn't act like it. Finally, I have a court date today and my nerves are a wreck.

Good luck at court! Aim true and keep it off your hands.
Maybe it's time for a new bass player, wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

Yeh, good luck at court, and find a girl that's not a p.i.t.a.

Let the girls go, Scott, please? I completely understand your feelings, if those feelings are loneliness and desperation. Sounds like you've got yourself a band, though.. you've got something many guys want, but probably will never have.
Now, get out there, be a good rockstar, and make some music about nasty bitches that don't call you back. --I'll help with the lyrics, if you want, royalty free, my man.

Tristan- Man I thought I had already posted this but somehow missed it:
Thanks for the uplifting, I appreciate it, but where's my damn poem!

Haha, she called me back today and said she was sorry but got too busy with kids to call back. So I guess I'm the jerk. Yeah, Tristan, where's the poem? It'll be our new material.

I dunno about that, its not like a phone call takes a long time.
I'm kinda retarded like that tho, If a girl is supposed to call and doesnt, i'll just ignore her after that for a while until they get mad.

That's not retarded - screw them! Why do we always have to give chase to women who either are disinterested or feigning it? F-that! Why should I be made to feel like the unwanted dork that keeps annoying them because they want to play some kind of childish game? They should be chasing me and I'm not one for running so they wouldn't have to do much. So many women I would never bother going after as they're on the edge of attractiveness standards or whatever could've gotten me if they put the effort in. I would respect the rejection of the 'traditional' women passivity and the guts to go after what they want. Their loss. More money for my car.

I've almost killed myself and a few others (not just incidentals) for women ... well, just one, I don't think I'm capable of caring that much about the rest, so I can definitely understand.

I always thought dropping an engine in was more than a 1 person job, Matt=superman? Sam=dumb?

I swapped an engine myself. Is that a brand new crossmember?

Sam- Although I am a superman *cough, cough*, I didn't do it alone. My buddy Nick helped me. Thanks again Nick.
Steve- Haha, no, it's not. I just cleaned it up a little.
Let me just say that 1. Just drop the tranny crossmember when replacing the tranny mount. Makes it real nice. 2. Group N tranny and engine mounts are tits. And 3. make sure you have a clutch alignment tool when swapping flywheels and stuff. Sure would have made it easier.

A 3/8 to 1/2" socket adapter fits perfectly for alignment. I eyeballed it and used that. Perfect fit.

Women... to big a can for me to open right now with as much to do today as I have

.
That engine is looking good. Soon you'll be back out on the road and terrorizing rice. Looks like the weather was pretty nice for you too.

Jeez, Matt, I'm so sorry I wasn't there to help out. I had really hoped I could be. I'm glad this thread originated only at a low point and that you're feeling better about it now though.
That is awesome that the motor is in your car! So what all is left now?

It's ok V. I was totally out of it that night that I started this thread. I was up with insomnia and my mind was racing.
The motor is in the car, I just need to put it all back together. I'll be doing the clutch asap too. I'm really bummed I didn't have a new one to swap on when I had the motor out.

Oh well.
