Yeah, my car looks like every other car...cops don't seem to notice me blazing by.

A child with a FULL plastic cup of Red Goo becomes an empty cup in the back seat.
Which one are your going to hate more? Cleaning up the BMW or the wagon?

Ain't it great? We are invisible in our old cars as we blow by the cops. I drove a friend's "arrest me red" Porsche the other day and was totally paranoid. I came home and hugged my old wagon.

Yeah, in reality our cars are some of the fastest street cars. I've passed all manner of exotica too paranoid to go over the limit.

That's not legal here in PA. The cops will pull you over for your car being too loud.

Yeah, I could totally hear you when you came up to work. Although, i heard my car as well (when you drove it around) but yours was definately louder.

I think the sound just carried further than you thought. Its kinda like how you could hear my car all the way down the street, even though I don't think it is actually that loud. Plus, your noise was bouncing off buildings and stuff.

I wouldnt choose any of those as a fun car, but the m3 definitely wins hands down.
restore and turbo your 325is. waaay cooler than any of those choices.

E36 M3 was one of my choices for a fun second car. However so was the porsche 944 turbo in my sig. Guess which one I chose?
They both have great handling and make similiar power when stock. The bimmer probably has better aftermarket/mainstream support, however I would say that the 944 turbo has better community support through Rennlist and enough vendor support to make most owners happy. The Porsche has a 2.5l turbo engine which you will want to tune the hell out of while the M3 has a NA which requires more $$$/HP and may help to control your spending urges.
Oh and you may want to look into a DSM as well (i.e. plymouth laser, eagle talon, mitsu eclipse)
Just more fun cars to consider!
