I would have to go with the 323gtx. sure they are not the fastest, rarest or coolest out there, but I came so close to getting one that I have to now. there was one sitting on the street for sale near me forever, and when I finally had the money to get it, I called the # and it was sold the day before!

suprisingly I see quite a few 323 gtx on ebay lately. Maybe they not that rare.
Add two more to the list....gmc typhoon and cycllone.

Well, I'd go with an early '80's Audi Quattro Turbo Coupe above all the rest that were listed....even before the SS. But, the listed Audi was a '91 Quattro which is nowhere near the early turbo coupes. Those things were amazing.
this is an '86 but it's still pimpin':

nothing wrong with leaving a car stock if that's the way you like it

That top Quattro is a Sport Quattro. You can tell by the extra ducts & slots in the hood.

The Colt/Mirage turbo was neat. The 4G61 was a wild and crazy motor. Plus, it's a turbo Colt!
My mom had an XR4Ti for a while a few years ago. That was a real fun car, like you wouldn't believe.
I like my SS though. I see less SS's owned by people I don't know, than I see GVR4's.
SS, GVR4, Omni GLHS, and the 323GTX. The Buick GNX was awesome, and I rarely see them.... Except one that runs around on weekends in the summer with the license plate "9SECGN".

Ur Quattros FTW!
S2's don't have near the beauty of the Ur's...

I might actually give both nuts for a 959. I'm sure I'd be very dead a
short time after delivery and I wouldn't need em anyway.

The original Ur Quattro in the SHIT… it’s the car that created the whole AWD Turbo category. And it looks so bad ass.

That does look bad ass. I like the boxy look with fender flares.

aside from Subis... Im a big fan of the Conquest/Starion. Ive been in a couple of them, and theyre just fun. Almost bought one with the intention of dropping a small block in it, but i spent the money elsewhere.

conquest and starions are not that rare. But they are great cars!

I thought the motor had terrible head gasket problems. arent they pretty huge for a 4 banger too, 2.6 IIRC?

true... cracking problems as well. I still think theyre pretty sweet.
EDIT - They need Jenny Craig too...

Damn, forgot about those.
I want a Starion/Conquest really bad, in spite of all their problems. While I like the look of many 80's Japanese sports cars, that's the only one that looks like a 'bad-ass' car to me...

How can you ask,
93 MR2 Turbo with all the mods you can put on it, including the scoop, so you can just hear the Turbo spool up GGGrrrOOOHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unfortunately Subaru people have never really heard this.
O by the way the only mods it was not really worthwhile was a lightweight flywheel.
It was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looked more like a Ferrari than the Ferrari!!

The old Isuzu Impulses have suspension tuned by Lotus. Always liked them for that.

One of the Isuzu I-Mark models does too.

The I-Mark RS. I raced one way back in the day and those things can really corner. Looks like a regular little economy car. Pretty quick back then, too, but probably a dog by today's standards where trucks have 500 HP (got a ride in an F-150 with that much today).
Years later I ran into the guy who owned the RS when he started working at the marina with me. He's a semi-retired millionaire and a Lotus fanatic. Funny how small the world can be sometimes.

I (sort of) new a guy with one, it was a 3-door hatch. He had put some nice wheels on it and cleaned it up quite a bit, new paint job I think too. It was a pretty nice looking car, and yes, it could take the corners like nothing.
