You got a problem with Nascar? I'm closer to ricer than redneck, but I watch nascar....

By no means, I´m a big fan as well. I was just pointing out that most of the people mentioned in my other post don give a rats ass about it, they just put the stickers on their trucks to keep up their blue collar appearence.

I have a problem with Nascar. When a "racing" sport involves nothing but left hand turns, I have to start questioning it. Imagine if in basketball you could only pass the ball and not dribble to the hoop...

Actually, that's good team ball ;)

But I agree, it's just too...boring. The sport itself is very limited to what you can do to gain advantage and win. Cars, engines, etc are regulated to nth degree, and with only left hand turns, and the cars being so equal, the only effective way to win is to bump the guy out from in front of you like Jeff Gordon does.

Oh, and I thought this was kinda funny, the car pictures being right next to the subject.

+1

And also there is nothing "stock" about the cars. How is a tube frame longitudinal V8 rwd the same as a unibody transverse V6 fwd?

I think they should run cars that are actually very close to stock, with a trunkfull of blinding moonshine over twisty cross country roads.

Because it's not nearly as common. But I can tell you that they are rich douchebags. The guy around my neighborhood that owns an H2 has a son with a Caprice Sedan, and he goes RWD drifting in school zones with kids all around (on the streets). He's a little prick too. Cocky because of all of his dad's money.

Plenty of H2 douches up here, but they're only distinguishable from the Dodge (ass) Rammers by the size of their bank accounts.

Mustangs are like assholes - everyone's got one. I liked the looks of the new ones, but everyone with the last (and worst IMHO) bodystyle traded them in for the new ones and now they're everywhere.

I want to get the following message made into a bumper sticker:

REAL AMERICAN SPORTS CARS DON'T HAVE V6's. ONLY TOYS DO.

or perhaps:

V6 MUSTANGS ARE LIKE HOT NUNS. NICE TO LOOK AT BUT THEY NEVER PUT OUT.

I just got reminded of another on out here today:

Where the hell are the Eagle Talons and 1st/2nd gen DSM's?

Those fuckers get a MBC and a BOV and think they are gods gift to the track. Luckely they are.

I hear those talons all the time around here...going 50mph in a 25, BOV going off at every "shift" (read: crunching of gears).

Well it just goes to show that there is a lot of jealousy on the net... While my srt-4 is not the fastest it is a daily driver made in America. If I want fast I'll take out mid engine corvair with the 383 stroker in the back seat and porsche transaxle holding everything in check in the rear... It might not be great to look at but it's good enough for the class record at lime rock park.

No offense, but I will never be jealous of an SRT-4.

yeah, "American" doesn't really mean much anymore...

The Toyota Sienna is 95% American labor and parts.

Wanna know what the GMC Sierra is?

64%

You know where the Saturn Vue is made?

Hungary

Guess where our Legacys (most of them anyways) are made?

Lafayette Indiana

toyota and Hyundai also have large plants here in the States. The Tundra is entirely American, as it doesn't exist anywhere else-there's no market. Japan has nothing to do with the Toyota trucks.

Only some of the 1st-gen Legacies are FHI. I've never seen 2nd, 3rd, or 4th-gen Legacies that are FHI.

Not to mention, the Saturn Vue Redline has a Honda Odyssey engine.

And Ford was claiming it was "patriotic" to buy a new Mustang, which is only 60% built in America, while the Sienna is 90% built in America (what's your source for 95% Mark?)

But anyway, I would be willing to bet my left testicle that Mitsubishi had SOMETHING to do with the SRT4.

I'd have to add Audi A4's especially the ones dad bought for his college age daughter that doesn't know how to drive.

im no farm boy but i sure as hell love the sound of a Duramax with the boost cranked to 60psi, nothing like that sound in any other car, all that torque just building up and being released in an enoumus plume of exhuast soot and buring rubber (or flying mud, which ever you prefer)

im not realy a GM man but i do love a Duramax, hell i love all turbo deisels, especialy the Audi R10
