Got some good deals on some "used parts" I love the used performance aftermarket!!



pictured are a pair of Cusco braces, new rear lock bolts, new camber bolts, and some uber nice brake fluid

Also got some used APS intercooler pipes and couplers. They fit great!



Here they are mocked up with the used Perrin big maf I got, also with my old HKS short ram

And finally here is a used Taylor battery relocation kit I got for the APS pipes, the quality is great and the aluminum box sits in there very well.



I am going to be putting the stock trunk back on here in a couple weeks, I miss it!

Today I starting a design for a filter heat sheild



It will be made out of aluminum, not too thick, I still want a little flexibility. It will bolt to the stock ABS bracket.



It fits around the PERRIN big maf and HKS intake very nicely!



The plan is to have it powdercoated black with some gold reflective tape to reflect heat back towards the motor.

Thank you sir! with the old engine and old turbo it put down 330whp and 300tq at 16psi. This time around it should do about 350whp and 350tq at 18-19psi on 93 octane, and around 400+hp/tq at 24-25 psi on race gas.

I have about 250 more miles to finish the break in as soon as my new FMIC couplers arrive, and then she's getting re-tuned for the Big Maf.

Where'd you get the vent, do they have a more flush-fit style, and does the hood flex more with the supports cut for the vent? I'd like to do a similar vent to reduce drag (isolate the engine compartment and pull air through the radiator more efficiently), but buying a trim piece would be easier than my fabrication plan.

I almost guarantee you it flexes a lot more with that big hole cut in it. I cut out the hole in my hood for the WRX scoop that was about twice as wide as the stock hole was and it made a huge difference. The hood feels flimsy now and I didn't even cut that much.

The hood is a fiberglass one made for a WRX. On Ebay, look up "WRC hood vent". It does affect the stability of the hood when it is up. You can feel it flex more than normal. While driving though, there is no abnormal flexing or distortion.

amazing, props for doing that level of build on a BC. youve definitely got lots of time and money in that thing and it shows. the attention to detail is awesome.
the dash swap is really icing on the cake. I think its probably the only one done in north america, dunno about NZ/AUS/Japan tho. how hard was it?

I understand that the radiator vent thingy is very functional but that one just doesn't fit in with the rest of the car. more of a attention grabbing wrx type mod wheras these cars(and yours especially with the dark colors) are much more subtle in their appearance. get a more low profile one and put it on a NA hood and it will clean up the front of the car a lot.

Installed a RalliTEK radiator cooling panel today! It is meant for a 02/03 WRX but it fits with the stock '91 brackets pretty nicely!
