FYI to anybody planning on buying, it's a 7-8 week special order.

Here's my setup:

modified air box and intake baffle delete. The lower half of the airbox is cut to match the hole in the fender for a little better breathing.
Also, I used a rubber 90deg inlet that is very wide at the bend, it has way more area than the stock one.

The MAF now maxes out at around 9 or 10 psi at WOT. The wideband goes all the way to the rich side. Not good.

I like your setup alot. Looks like you gained some room in between the airbox and turbo by modifying the stock airbox versus using the later 45 degree box.

Boosted, what did you use to modify the stock intake box? Good ingenuity and really clean set up!

Actually, I was going to get the stock 45deg box but I figured I could bend up some aluminum and pop rivet it to the box before I could find one. I reused the nut plate that attaches the MAF. Then I finished up with some black RTV.
I was going to fab up one out of fiberglass but I got lazy.

The fitment is actually probably better that way. The stock Subaru 45 deg airbox is a little cranky to get everything fit just right.

I don't have a stock AWIC (it's a custom unit), nor a VF11 anymore but I have completed a couple re-routes of my charge pipes (went from the VF11 to a VF12, and recently re-did the setup with better fiting Samco hose/mandrel AL tubing).

I used Siliconehoses.com before as well and I think they have awesome prices, service, and components. However, nobody has the selection of Samco.

Look up Samco, and check out their reducing 90* elbows. I just used PN "RE90 45-38" (1.75" at the turbo outlet -> 1.5") mated to a section of 45* mandrel AL tubing (1.5"). You could mate silicone pieces to AL tubing and/or more silicone hoses to make the connection. It just requires some visualization, cutting and fitting.

I'll be posting a few photos later, probably in the Engine section once I get my second dyno run complete (post mod pulls). I've made some real progress in the last round. 8)

Here's some of the last setup in progress. (VF12, outlet is horizontal)

The hard part is getting the 1st turn, as the TB and IAC/etc... are RIGHT there (this is where the Samco 90* did wonders - you can see the not quite right connection above). Then you have more room to work as you move away from the turbo.

The VF11 is easier (really) with the upward facing outlet. Here's the setup when I had the VF11. The tubing is custom cut/welded, but it could be just as well done with AL tube and silicone hose.

Yeah, that was me.

You had just got your legacy iirc. I gave you a bandaid! lookout for those trunk release levers (mine has cut me pretty good as well - haha)

Maybe I'll see you at Bandi again this spring.

And thanks!
