Re: Oh geez, it was inevitable
Nice, how much did the stealership charge for that mount? I wish I had the 5MT mount instead of the 6MT one. It would make things fit better.
I'm semi-stoked for WCSS. I'd be far more stoked if I could hunt down and fix my false knock bullshit and turn the boost up and run the more aggressive rob tuned chip I had before.

It was around $115can and took 2 days.
It raised the trans up atleast an inch but is still clearing everything(I hear some people have issues), but I have the solid rubber motor mounts allready.
Guess its almost 4 months away, we gots lots of time....(knock on wood).

Re: Oh geez, it was inevitable
Raised it an inch? What? Shouldn't have raised it at all I'm pretty sure. I compared the 6MT one to the stock one and it was only like 1cm difference. It was shorter and I think the 5MT one is the same as the stock one so it shouldn't be anywhere near that kind of difference.

Re: Oh geez, it was inevitable
I put a jack under the tranny while I undid the crossmember, and when I went to put the new mount in I had to get out twice to jack it up higher and this jack doesnt sag, especially under that little of weight. 1 inch give or take, I didnt measure, but it did raise it for sure, a few people on here have reported the same.

Little update,
Legacy needed alot of work, so I bought this 96 Outback, its been a nice comfy daily for a couple months now.

Wasnt about to let the ss die easy, so I pulled the motor...it still ran fine, but seeped oil from everywhere.

Stripped the greasy mess down and now I'm waiting on new bearings, dohc heads, bigger turbo and any gaskets, hoses and anything else it needs.

I also plan on 02 wrx f-brakes, same price as stock and need them anyway and need a new rack which is why I was motivated to buy the outback. Also have an lsd rear diff for it too.

Poser shots of the parts to put together a parallel rail setup.

And a td04l off an 08 wrx, should be able to make it work, ordered the materials to make an outlet to work with my ic setup

Not much progress, sold the 08 style td04 because it wasnt close enough to fitting for me, didnt want to chop up the up-pipe just for it when I could just sell and buy something that fits, trying to get nosyt to sell me his old turbo lol.
Also got bored and sold my Outback and was thinking GT-B but bought a Nissan Stagea instead

Re: Oh geez, it was inevitable
I bought a new shell, well basicly a running driving TW with no rust in winestone. Got busy as soon as I got it and did a tune-up, disassembled and shampooed everything inside, and swapped it to manual along with install my vlsd and v1/2 wrx seats. The ej22t in it runs good now, so I'll leave that in there for the winter, and swap my built ej22t dohc in there come spring time.

Re: Oh geez, it was inevitable
Lol, yeah pretty much.
It had the Cheapest tires I could buy on the stock rims and stock everything else, could flick it into some all wheel drifts which surprised me.
But since the trackday I installed the whiteline alk, rack bushings, and rear gr2's, car is much better, will still benefit from some proper wheels and tires and sway bars hence the dual sway experiment.
Also next up is a walbro, and vf10 that I have laying around,
