I used Fel-pro for my HG. I put about 6k miles of insanely hard driving on them. You can have fun with out burning large amounts of fuel!

I got the passenger head off today, i could see where the exhaust had made its way into the coolant ports on the bottom of the deck. Checked everything out on the block tho, looks to be in great shape actually. So that's a relief. I'm gonna go buy a straight edge soon so i can inspect everything.

save your money no need to buy straight edge, you need to just spend your money on some Subaru OEM HG's..
and be done.
you are not really listening to those who are saying only go with OEM.

He's goin with OEM and I would certainly want to check the block as well.

Yeah I have one friend that can get it done for 40 and one that can have it done for 50. That's priced each head
