Took a picture of her while on a little road trip today. BTW, just over 160k miles and she passed her California emissions test with flying colors a few days ago.

Fixed my brake light switch. Thanks PNP! No more worrying about getting rear ended!

Also helped my buddy with his RWD SS, which may soon become my RWD SS. If i can price together an R180 rear along with Legacy GT-B axles for a decent price.

I apparently blew a head gasket today. Looks like the tleg is on injured reserve for a while. Looks like I will be hitting the "how to" threads!

It's not that bad of a job just-rust!!!

My mom car keeps getting water in the fuel I think I found the problem. I will be changing it out today, yeah me.


Update: oops sprung a leak.

I feel so sorry for all you guys that have to deal with rust like that. It makes me want to snap up all the old Legacy Turbos in California just to make sure they are preserved for future generations.

I'm really surprised with 800k on her it's not that bad. Also the fuel filler is exposed to lots of flying rocks.

Thanks for the vote of confidence cj! I didn't explore it too far yesterday. The good news is that I don't think it is the head gasket after all. I suck at diagnosing apparently. The bad news is that I am pretty sure I blew the seals on the td04 I just installed. Dropped the oil today and it wasn't milky. No bubbles in the overflow and I had smoke coming up from around the turbo just like the 11 when it went. Would peel the TMIC and check for sure but the temps make it hard to get it back on.

Good news is... the Rob Tune is going in sooner than I thought if this is the case!

Installed a 2006 WRX wagon 20mm front sway bar and the end links that came with it. My stock end links were shot with 160k miles on them and the new ones only had 60k. They were identical to the Legacy links. The stock WRX bushings wont work on our cars, too big, so I was able get the stock bushings, which were in pretty good shape, stretched over the new bar and clamped down using the stock brackets. The bar fit PERFECTLY!

So the handling improvement is significant. I need a bigger rear bar before I really start pushing it in corners, but I jumped on this when I had the chance and cant complain spending $40 on the bigger bar and new-ish end links from a local guy.

So I ended up having to replace the rear glass on my 95. This job is a BITCH to do. There's a reason that Safelite wanted wait for it.......$700 to do the job. I ended up getting an already pulled glass for $70, though they sent me a wagon glass, then busted sedan glass before I got the correct one 3 weeks later. Christmas and new years didn't help either with shipping.

So $70 + $50 for 3m window caulk, cleaning supplies, razor blades and a foam inner gasket to cut down on noise and vibration. Oh and about 6 hours of my time.

I hope to never have to do that.....

regapped my plugs to .028 ish turned the boost back up to 14 psi and holly molly pulls harder than before. even fixed the clamped in my turbo intake. it does have wicked torque steer in first and second lol

I can't remember what I paid for my rear window-thought it was a wagon and I stripped everything around the glass for them

Took my car to a local exhaust place and had my exhaust redone. Lately my exhaust has been rubbing more and more on bumps, so last night I finally took a peek and there was a huge hole in the midpipe. The guy at the shop (looks like a 1 man operation) redid my exhaust cat back for $125, full 3 inch, and it only took a little over an hour.

I will be posting pictures and a review in the reviews section.

I am so stoked about the exhaust. It is so much quieter but it sounds SO NICE.

1/23: radiator cracked on the front pass. side. replaced that. took all day because the transmission oil coolant lines got all kinds of messed up. drove fine, but over heated twice. burped the system some more and is totally stable now.

yesterday (1/28): noticed my rear driver side tire was completely flat. went to DT, and got that replaced along with a new tire to match the same end. drove off the lot. About to get on the interstate when I felt it. Oh god the binding. Shit a brick and when back to the store. tried to see if I could pay off the 2 new tires I needed in the front cause poor college student. I couldn't and felt hopeless because I know that bind destroys transmissions. well an older gentlemen came up to the counter and promptly payed for the new tires. Thank you so much Wayne, you're a life saver.

I don't have good luck with tires (third set in 2.5 years. Expensive tires i don't want and can't afford. They were a gift when i first got the car.)

What size & brand tires do you have?

Are they wearing evenly or only on the outside or inside, etc?

195/60R15 Michelin Defender's @ $112. I know that's not a lot but it is to me because it's hard just to get by with everything going with college.

They wear fine, it's just that i 'll hit a curb/nail/glass shards, etc. but not on purpose! It just happens i guess. I rarely go off-road anymore because the car is lowed as well.
