First time getting to test out the new struts and springs on icy roads and they handle fantastic. I was a bit worried my Proxes on the front were lacking sufficient tread to be effective in these conditions, but they held up well. I would have bought some snow tires for my old steel stock 14s, but it only snows 3 days out the year here in southeastern VA.
I'm good with the 3 days a year I get here. Nothing beats the central Florida winters though. And allnines, we got a mix of snow and ice. Everything is frozen over, no good for snowball fights, but awesome for driving Subarus.
Those tires don't really look good for ice and snow. I wish we had at least 6 inches because my car is a beast with VLSD in the rear and helical front diff.

Yeah they're definitely not for ice and snow. That actually happened just trying to get home when it started snowing midday. I will definitely have real snow tires on my spare wheels next year. As for the LSD and helical front diff, those are pretty high up on my list.
I have been having a lot of fun lately. I blew up my back diff (thank you RobTune) last week. I guess the diff was the weakest point in launching the car. This is the first time I've blown a diff in a Subaru , but it very much reminded me of a 240sx diff going out!
Shit was epic ...it felt like a 3sec. 0-60. I lit up all four with a wicked 5500rpm launch followed by a flat footed shift into second at 7500rpm and it grabbed.. like holy shit..but was then followed by some clunking eventually turning to lots of bad shuttering and no drivability.
if you had that on video, that would be legit! i bet it was epic!

Plastidipped the Lego today. I've had the worst primer job you've ever seen for about 4 years now, so I got motivated last night at 1am to head down to Walmart and buy some dip to try it out. Still kinda looks like a shitty primer job, but now it's a shitty plastidip job instead
^^ I have done the trunk and hood so far. Used a can and a half on the hood and a can on the trunk. If you keep layering the unevenness disappears. Looks good so far though. Doing the same to the rest of mine this summer.

I went thru about 18 cans. I ordered the wide spray nozzle from dipyourcar.com and I'll attempt to touch up the hood and roof. I was too impatient or I would have ordered the blurple plastidip, it looks to be the closest thing they have to a plasma blue.
Post up how that wide nozzle works. After 18 cans I bet your spray finger went numb! How long did it take you? The blurple looks like it has some cool shade shifting in the right light. Would have been cool.

Have a friend who has a 2013 BRZ, he just got new RPF1's so we are gonna see if his stock wheels and tires will do me any good for autox this coming weekend. 17x7 wheels and 215/45R17 tires should fit right? I was under the impression they are the same size as WRX wheels. Will post pictures regardless..

Replaced shitty ricer blue-tint headlamps that the PO of my Forester had in there with some proper 3350k warm/white lamps. Visibility improved by what seems like 100%.

Dropped the beast off at All Aspects Motorsports in Chesapeake, VA. These dudes know their shit. They always have all these nice rides sitting around, but they still appreciate my work-in-progress first gen Legacy. Cheers to Keinan for being the most knowledgeable Subaru fanatic in the Commonwealth of VA
